* Gossip: 이런 검색 찾아보기의 재미는... 전혀 예상하지 못했던 사실들, 화면/무대 뒤의 우연이든/필연이든 연결고리들이나 공통점이 있다는 것이 보인다는 것. 이번 회의 두 "대표주자/대표팀"의 선곡이 원곡을 부른 가수나 분위기는 다를지 모르지만, Beyoncé의 Halo나 Jonas Brothers의 Sucker나 공통적으로 Ryan Tedder라는 singer/song-writer가 작곡했다는 것. '슈퍼밴드' 초반에는 Ed Sheeran, Coldplay의 곡들이 공통적으로 많이 선곡되더니... 이번에는 또 다른 덜 드러나는 공통점.
한편으로는 이해도 되는 것이... 최근 몇년간 세계적으로 유행한 곡들의 목록을 보면, 앞서 언급된 작곡가나 가수들의 곡들이 상당 부분이라... 이 친구들이 자라나면서 영향을 받은 곡들이 그렇게 공통점을 갖는 것이 어쩌면 자연스러움. 다른 한편으로는... 이제 정말 한국 국내의 음악하는 젊은 세대는... 그 음악적인 환경/성장배경이 global common market 혹은environment라서... 그들이 쉽게 외부의 문화를 받아들이고 또 내부의 문화를 전달하는 것이 이상할 것이 없는 것.
과거에는 어려서부터 그런 global common market/env.에 노출되는 것 자체가 특이한 케이스고 혜택이었다면, 이제는 그러한 것은 누구나 관심만 조금 있으면 쉽게 접근이 가능한... 90년대부터 전세계적으로 확산되기 시작한 internet & www이 가져온 변화/통합의 영향이라고 볼 수도. 1세대 한류의 주역들이 그런 특이한 케이스/혜택을 잘 살린 인물들에 의해 주도되었다면, 2세대 3세대 한류는 그와는 다른 digital/network natives에 의해 주도될 것이고, 분명히 다른 양상을 보일 것. 다만, 한국의 음악/문화가 이전까지는 emerging market과 유사했다면, 미래에는 developed market과 유사할텐데, 그때는 성공의 차이가 어디에서 올까? 지금까지는 다른 산업의 발전과 유사하게 분업화/산업화의 공식을 따라서 타국에 비해 빠르고 집중적인 방식으로 성장을 했고, 그렇게 성장한 사람/기업이 시장을 점유하고 선도했는데, 앞으로는 결국은 다시 개인의 창의성에서 찾아야 할까?
지금까지도 음악/문화/연예계의 승자독식... 보통의 자본주의 시장에서보다도 더 심한 승자독식이 건강한 문화적 다양성이나 예술의 저변화/생활화/다양성을 유지하는데 어려운 요소로 손꼽히는데, 앞으로 세계시장으로 편입되면 그러한 성향은 더 심해지면 심해지지 완화되지는 않을 것 같은데... 그것은 또 어떤 문제를 야기하고 대안을 요구할까? 지금도 그러한 것 같기는 한데... global market을 지향하는 mainstream과 local/niche market을 지향하는 subculture로 분화될까? Subculture도 digital/network을 활용하면 longtail에서 그들만의 리그에서 별도의 global market을 활용한 생존이 가능할까? 결국은 요즘 유행하는 '1인 크리에이터'의 세계시장 공략이란 것이 그것 아닐까? 그렇게 본다면... 이 프로그램과 같은 시도도... 결국 global market으로 편입되는 과정에서 자신들의 local market을 지키고, 나아가서 적극적으로 global market을 공략하려는 자연스러운 반응/시도로 볼 수도. 또 이미 존재하는 local niche market의 인재/자원을 mainstream으로 끌어와서 활용하려는 자연스러운 반응/시도로 볼 수도. 어쨌튼, 여러가지 측면/의미에서 재미있고 유의미한 시도.
생각나는대로 쓰다보니 이번 gossip도 길어지고 약간 삼천포로 빠져서... 다시 별도의 Gossip으로 묶어서 옮겨야 할 듯.

While The Jonas Brothers helped write their hit single, they had some help from award-winning writers and producers. According to songfacts.com, the brothers wrote “Sucker” with OneRepublic frontman, Ryan Tedder. Frank Dukes and Louis Bell produced the music for this Jonas Brothers’ song.
Aside from working with OneRepublic, Ryan Tedder also wrote songs like Beyonce’s “Halo,” Adele’s “Rumour Has It,” and Leona Lewis’ “Bleeding Love.” He won multiple “Album of the Year” Grammy Awards, for his work on Taylor Swift’s 1989 and Adele’s 21 and 25.
Frank Dukes and Louis Bell worked on projects for other accomplished artists, like Post Malone and Camila Cabello. Frank Dukes also worked with The Weeknd. There’s no word on whether Frank Dukes and Louis Bell worked on The Jonas Brothers’ new album, Happiness Begins, which premieres in summer 2019.
