개인적으로는... 그냥 음악만 들어도... 영화 값은 한 걸로 느껴지는 영화들...
* Gossip: 캣츠는 영화 스토리 셋업에만... 거의 영화의 절반이 걸려서, 초반에 보기 좀 힘들었고;
어거스트 러쉬는 처음부터... 현대판 판타지 음악지상주의 동화라고 생각하고 보면... 꽤 볼만함.
그렇게 따지면, 캣츠도 처음부터... 뮤지컬 판타지 동화라고 생각하면... 그래도 음악은 좋음. ㅎㅎ
(이미 평이 워낙 안좋았던 비쥬얼 효과라서... 의외로 봐줄만. 단, 등장인물 소개가 너무 느렸음.
그게 모두 완료된... 영화 후반부는 꽤 괜찮았고; 음악이야... 원본이 워낙 좋았으니, 명불허전???)
* Gossip: 나만 그런지 몰라도... 등장인물의 차이, 세부적인 차이 무시하면... 느낌이 꽤 비슷...???
---> 좀 과장하자면, 버려진 아이가/주인공이... 자신의 유사가족, 가족 찾아가는... 성장 스토리?

Cats is a 2019 musical fantasy film based on the 1981 stage musical of the same name by Andrew Lloyd Webber, which in turn was based on the 1939 poetry collection Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats by T. S. Eliot. The film was directed by Tom Hooper, in his second feature musical following Les Misérables (2012), from a screenplay by Lee Hall and Hooper. It features an ensemble cast, including James Corden, Judi Dench, Jason Derulo, Idris Elba, Jennifer Hudson, Ian McKellen, Taylor Swift, Rebel Wilson, and Francesca Hayward in her film debut.
Filming took place from December 2018 to April 2019. It was theatrically released in the United Kingdom and the United States on 20 December 2019 by Universal Pictures. Cats was panned by critics, with criticism aimed at Hooper's direction, the visual effects, screenplay and editing.
Considered to be one of the worst films of all time, Cats grossed $75 million on a budget of $80–100 million, making it a box-office bomb.
